The US Fish and Wildlife was looking for three truck and trailer concept vehicles to enhance its response to disasters within its Southeast Region. I contacted Nomad Technologies, Inc. about their capability to meet our needs and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Clay Binford, walked me through each design phase and offered suggestions that not only increased the functionality of our units, but improved our overall deployment capabilities. Throughout the process, Nomad promptly helped us work through numerous changes to the specifications, schematics and pricing. Since our Regional Office is in Atlanta and Nomad is located in Montana it was very important to us that we be kept up to date on the day to day build status. Nomad provided us with a secure customized web-site so we could track the build process, periodic photos submitted via e-mail and we spoke on the phone at least one a week to review the project status. The service we received during the build process was excellent, but the equipment Nomad provided us is second to none. We purchased an Incident Command trailer from Nomad Technologies in 2005. They were very responsive to our needs and offered many recommendations based upon their experience. Their knowledge of mobile technology, the satellite systems, the wireless network, etc. are unmatched and the web based project tracking provided daily updates on the progress of the job.
Nomad Technologies has not stopped their customer service since we purchased our trailer. When we experienced a leak in the watertight connector block that had been provided by one of their vendors they were onsite the following day to repair the problem. They have also provided technical support via telephone at all hours to overcome my lack understanding of the systems that they provided.
In short, I have and will continue to recommend Nomad Technologies to anyone who is looking to purchase specialized vehicles for incident response and communications.
